Websites and Web Applications
Evening Design has worked with non-profit organizations and small businesses over the years to provide web based solutions. We have done everything from basic websites to database applications with thousands of members.
Marlene Luneng imagined a community in Saskatoon that supported parents who wanted more natural playtimes and less electronic time for their children. Marlene received world renowned training and together with her passion for children, she started Uffda Play. Uffda Play provided handmade wooden play structures and toys as well as workshops, meetings, and play sessions for children.
Simply Bee Honey Company
Evening Design worked with Les to digitize his logo design. Using elements, colors, and inspiration from the world of beekeeping, we designed his website to showcase his products and process. Take a look, and if you are in his neighbourhood, be sure to pick up some honey or one of the amazing seasonal baskets they put together!
My Sweet Prairie by Monika Kinner
Monika is an extremely talented local artist famous for thread paintings of Saskatchewan. (We are lucky enough to own two pieces of her work.) Monika asked us for assistance in setting up places for customers to purchase her work. If you are looking for help (or don't know where to start!) to seamlessly connect your Facebook, Instagram, and website based shops, we can help out. We added social media shops that are automatically updated from Monika's Wix shop. Perusing Facebook or Instagram will automatically transition customers to her website where you are able to purchase some of her amazing work.
Homestead Emporium is a work-at-home business currently located on the Prairies. Homestead Emporium's owner, Peggy, creates reusable cloth products for the entire family. We worked with Homestead Emporium to redesign the existing website providing a fresh look, new content, and menus and images that use jquery to provide information in a cleaner easier-to-understand format. We also redesigned Homestead Emporium's HyenaCart to match the redesigned website. We worked remotely with Peggy as they were living on Vancouver Island when the redesign happened.
In addition to a system that automatically creates and uploads inventory to her IndieCart account, we are now hosting her website for her!
River of Life Ministries
Pastor Ray Martell is a world traveling minister who loves meeting and helping people. He wanted a new look for his rather dated website, as well as secure online credit card payment for donations to his non-profit ministry. In addition to the website and credit card payment, we created the graphics for his Roku TV channel, River of Life TV. We're pleased with what we've got so far, but there's more in store for River of Life!
Saskatchewan Association of Landscape Architects
The Saskatchewan Association of Landscape Architects is the governing board for the landscape architecture profession in Saskatchewan. This group is more hands-on so we installed WordPress for their public site to allow them to make their own updates on their own schedule. We have also deployed a back-end management system to allow the SALA membership to log in and perform the various tasks that are required of them.
Saskatoon Physiotherapy is locally owned and operated by Ben Vuong. Ben wanted a new look and needed to move his website to a different hosting provider. We worked together to provide a modern look and incorporate his business's logo color scheme into the website theme.
Cribsheets by Macdonald Design
Sondra and Rob Macdonald made one of the best crib sheets on the market. Designed, sourced, and manufactured in Canada, they wanted to showcase their product and give customers the opportunity to order directly from the factory. We helped them to achieve that goal, one step at a time. Sondra and Rob have since retired and closed their business.
Aurora Soccer Club
The Aurora Soccer Club is a youth soccer organization based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Before the provincial soccer organization required all teams to move to the same website system, we perform a number of services for Aurora including regular website updates, posting tweets, and regular maintenance of their two registration systems (regular season and tournament).
Most recently we had redesigned their public site, and continually made updates to keep board members and volunteers on the same page and ease the manual workload for them. An online registration system was part of our work for Aurora.
